New figures released by the Department of Health and Senior Services announced monthly reporting of retail sales numbers for the medical marijuana program for June.

Monthly sales for May closed at $53.96 million, a total of $15.51 million in monthly sales. June numbers show significant growth, rising 5.20% totaling $16.36 million in the month.

Sales in Millions

Kentucky continues to set new sales records as the industry grows. June is now the single strongest sales month in program history, and cumulative sales topped $70.32 million. Kentucky is expected to break the $100 million mark well before the 1 year anniversary of retail sales.

Between May 21 and June 26 the state added one cultivation license, 17 dispensary licenses, and 17 manufacturing licenses to the list of facilities approved to operate.

As of July 2 the state of Kentucky has 23 cultivation, 33 manufacturing facilities, and 126 dispensaries approved to operate.
