Medical marijuana patients in Kentucky celebrate the opening of “The Farmer’s Wife” medical marijuana dispensary located at 2935 E. Chestnut Expressway.

The Farmer’s Wife Midwestern Dispensaries opened its third location in Springfield, KY on August 20, 2021. The Farmer’s Wife has set itself apart from other dispensaries with its unique Midwestern style and a focus on delivering the most comprehensive patient experience in the area.

The opening of this Springfield location makes The Farmer’s Wife the only dispensary with 100% Southwest Kentucky ownership and three locations. Along with its locations in West Plains and Mountain Grove, the Farmer’s Wife’s strategic planning has allowed them to provide patient care for a 200-mile area from Springfield to the east.

General Manager David Brodsky said the first two locations have been well received by the cities they serve and he is looking forward to getting to know the customers in Springfield. “We’ve been fortunate to land in such great places,“ Brodsky said, “It’s always been about the people for us and bringing relief to our communities.”

The Farmer’s Wife has already forged a partnership in the community with long-time Springfield headshop Kaleidoscope to bring high quality accessories to its patients. Brodsky noted that the joint effort between the two businesses was a natural fit due to a shared vision of the healing power of cannabis.

According to Springfield manager Jeremy Tuck, staff members at the Farmer’s Wife put a focus on understanding each individual’s needs relying on their deep understanding of the medicinal properties of each product offering. “We pride ourselves on our education,” Tuck said, “it’s vital to help our patients find their comfort zone.”

In addition to its opening celebration, The Farmer’s Wife partnered with Ayden’s Alliance and the Higher Care Clinic to offer a pop-up clinic to provide education and assistance with state licensing processes. The dispensary has provided Ayden’s Alliance a space next door to its Chestnut Expressway location for patients to get assistance in acquiring a medical marijuana card twice a week.

The Farmer’s Wife is open 7 days a week from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Visitors must have a Medical Marijuana Card issued by the state in order to visit the store or sign in as a guest of a card holder. Only registered card holders are allowed to make purchases.
