Hippos Dispensary is starting 420 off with a bang, or a crash as it were.

At 10:05 AM the driver of a white Tesla mistakenly accelerated rather than braking when attempting to park, crashing into the storefront of the newly opened dispensary while bringing the front fender of a Hippos teammate’s car along for the ride.

No one was hurt in the collision and the company has taken the event in stride, posting video to its social media accounts.

The Springfield location, Hippos’ second dispensary in the state, opened this past Thursday, April 14. The dispensary is open 7 days a week with both in-store and online shopping, across from the Battlefield Mall.
“420 is always a day to remember but this 420 in Springfield will go down in our dispensary history book,” said Lindsay Lockhart, Hippos Director of Brand + Retail. “Thankfully, no one was injured and our team is trained to handle such an incident. That being said, I don’t think anyone was expecting such a commotion this morning. It is certainly one way to bring attention to our new Springfield store and amazing 420 deals for MO patients. And yes, we are still open for business!”

The dispensary remains open and accessible for patients to be able to enjoy all of the previously planned 420 festivities at Hippos’ newest location at 2868 S. Glenstone Ave. Springfield, MO 65804.
