The long-awaited arrival of medical cannabis in Lake of the Ozarks’ communities is here. Latitude Dispensary, 6396 Osage Beach Parkway, opens at noon Wednesday, June 16, with daily store hours of 12-8 p.m. More information, including directions to the store, can be found at www.LatitudeDispensary.com.
The dispensary’s ownership team also spearheaded several successful Arizona medical cannabis brands and businesses, including Territory Dispensaries, Vital Edibles and Hi-Klas. The company was also awarded a state license to manufacture infused cannabis products and will soon begin selling its “Timeless Vapes” brand at retail outlets across Missouri.
Nearly 120,000 Missouri patients have been approved as medical marijuana cardholders by the state Department of Health and Senior Services. Medical cannabis sales in Missouri include an additional 4% sales tax, with the proceeds dedicated toward veterans’ health and care services.
The department has licensed 349 facilities across the state to cultivate, manufacture, test and dispense medical marijuana safely to Missouri patients. The medical marijuana program, which was approved by 66% of Missouri voters on the November 2018 ballot, has already generated nearly $54 million in tax revenue to the state of Missouri.
